Competitive and social dances can be danced for the simple social pleasure or can be taken to a higher level, where people continue to have fun but want to meet a higher standard of technical and artistic skills. Having a competitive goal drives a student to accelerate faster in developing their dancing and gives that extra push to go beyond their expectations with fantastic results.
Our International Latin Competitor Program is designed to transform beginner dancers to serious competitors in the five competition-style International Latin dances: ChaCha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive. This is a class-based training program meeting twice per week making it highly effective and very affordable. Combining this with our weekly Latin Technique and Latin Drills drop-in classes will allow the student to gain the repetition needed to build muscle memory so each movement is executed flawlessly. Students can take private lessons at anytime to further accelerate their development or to work on challenging class materials. NO PARTNER NECESSARY.
The International Latin Competitor Program follows the ISTD/DVIDA syllabus which is used in all major competitions around the world. The syllabus is broken down by levels:
