Ballroom

Ballroom dance refers to a set of partner dances, which are enjoyed both socially and competitively around the world. Its performance and entertainment aspects are also widely enjoyed on stage, in film, and on TV (Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Shall We Dance, Mad About Ballroom). These set of partner dances consist of the following ten dances: Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz, ChaCha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive. The first five dances is what we call the classic or standard styles and the last five dances are characterized with a more latin flavor. We’ll include two more dances under the Ballroom umbrella term, Mambo and Bolero which is commonly danced in the United States both socially and competitively.
